Carolyn Ledowsky – Founder of MTHFR Support Australia and Naturopath
Carolyn Ledowsky is the founder of MTHFR Support Australia. She is a naturopath, herbalist and nutritionist who has a Bachelor of Herbal Medicine, Bachelor of Naturopathy, Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy and Diploma of Nutrition, also having studied courses in genetics at Duke University and The University of Maryland in the US. Kate Troup – Naturopath
Her background of running a busy clinic in London, training Doctors in Mumbai and developing nutritional supplements in the USA allows her to combine knowledge gathered from around the world and make getting healthy easy to understand and even easier to implement.

Rosaria Nithart – Naturopath
With a passion for children’s health, Rosaria has trained in the Biomedical approach to AutismSpectrum Disorders (MINDD Sydney) and is a MAPS practitioner (US Medical Academy of Paediatric Special Needs); with further specialist training in Methylation and Clinical Nutrigenomics, Maternal and Paediatric Implications due to MTHFR and Methylation Dysfunction (Ben Lynch, US, and Carolyn Ledowsky).
Rosaria is passionate about understanding the complex mechanisms ASD and related conditions often present with. She dedicates her skills and knowledge to improving outcomes for families of children suffering with autism, ADD, ADHD and other behavioural conditions.
In her view, sensitive children are like treasures waiting for the right support to be able to shine: adequate nutrition and supplementation, detoxification, methylation, gut, immune and mitochondrial support are just a few of the many steps involved in the journey.
The deep insights gathered from putting the pieces of the ASD puzzle together also provides a distinct advantage when dealing with other complex chronic health issues including allergies, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, food Intolerances, pyroluria and skin conditions.
Rosaria will be providing vaccination support appointments for those families who believe there maybe a high risk for side effects to vaccinations on the current schedule. She will provide information on how to assess liver function, genetic risk and family history risk and give you strategies to support pathways and optimal timing for vaccinations where applicable.
Rosaria holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Comp Med) from Charles Sturt University as well as an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy (ACNT). She is also a lecturer and a Clinic Supervisor at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies and Endeavour College in Sydney and is a member of the National Herbalist Association of Australia (NHAA) since 2007.
Kristen Soper – MTHFR and Methylation clinical nutritionist
Kristen is a functional-medicine Clinical Nutritionist specialising in MTHFR and methylation. She has a special interest in chronic health conditions, mood disorders and digestive health. She also has a special interest in kids’ health, specifically in addressing mood and behaviours.
She has helped hundreds of patients regain health with her cutting-edge knowledge of the biochemical pathways and MTHFR… “When you give the body what it needs to heal by rectifying deficiencies, optimising methylation co-factors, cleaning up the diet and addressing the underlying pathophysiology such as inflammation; the journey back to health can begin”.
Kristen is passionate about the integration between the latest science, holistic nutrition and epigenetics and firmly believes the future of healthcare relies on all working together. Based on your presenting symptoms, pathology tests, your MTHFR mutation and other genetic SNPs such as COMT or CBS, an appointment with Kristen will include a personalised nutritional medicine prescription, including supplements, dietary advice and lifestyle recommendations.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine), a Bachelor of Communications and has full association membership with ANTA. She received the 2015 ANTA Academic Excellence Award.
Joanne Kennedy – Naturopath
Joanne Kennedy is a degree-qualified naturopath specialising in women’s hormonal health. Joanne is experienced in treating a range of hormonal issues including endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, painful periods, heavy periods and premenstrual syndrome.
Joanne’s other area of interest is genetics, which brought her to practice at MTHFR Support Australia in 2015.
Joanne will explain to you why you are experiencing imbalances with your hormones and how this is contributing to your health issues or infertility. “There are so many different factors, both genetic and environmental that are playing havoc with the female menstrual cycle. It is my job as a naturopath to identify these causes in each of my patients and to provide safe and effective evidenced based treatments for each individual” . When we combine this with the genetics, we get to understand the root cause of the hormonal issues and can adjust accordingly.
A consultation with Joanne will include a thorough discussion of your health history with an emphasis on your specific health concern. Specific dietary and lifestyle advice will be prescribed along with supplements and herbal medicine if required.

Sonia Savage – Nutritionist
Sonia has spent several years studying how nutrition can treat and prevent illness.
With an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine under her belt, Sonia has an extensive understanding in nutrition and wellness, and is working towards her Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine.
Sonia has previously worked as a Nutritional Therapist with corporate and individual wellness programs specialising in stress management, endocrine support, women’s hormones, fertility support, mental health (gut/brain axis), children’s wellness, toxin free living and whole food eating plans.
Understanding the stress we place on ourselves to achieve our goals, Sonia recognises the ill-effects this stress can have on our long-term health and utilises a holistic approach to assist her clients live a healthier, happier and more balanced life.
