This green smoothie is an adaptable version ideal for beginners. It’s packed with good nutrition while maintaining a pleasing fruity flavour.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups non-dairy milk or water
  • 2 small bananas
  • 2 packed cups kale, (or greens of your choosing)
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup strawberries, (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup mango, (frozen)
  • 1/3 cup pomegranate arils

Optional Add-ins:

  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 Tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp hemp hearts

Method:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Notes:

You can use fresh or frozen ingredients for this green smoothie. Frozen will result in a thicker consistency. If you use fresh ingredients, you may want to reduce the liquid amount for a thicker smoothie.
